My Training And Qualifications

Iam a qualified professional counsellor psychotherapist, and a clinical member of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists’ Association of NSW (CAPA), a registered member of the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a registered member of the International Association For Relational Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy (IARPP) USA and a member of the association's Sydney Chapter. I believe in and subscribe to these organisations professional codes of ethics.

 

 I hold a Master of Counselling from the University of Western Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the AustralianCollege of Applied Psychology and I am clinically trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. My clinical work is regularly supervised as demanded by the professional associations and usually by two supervisors, one in Self Psychology and one in Object Relations models.

 

I have completed counselling training with Lifeline Sydney in Crisis Counselling Intervention, Group Facilitation and Psychodynamic Counselling /Therapy. I have also trained with Relationships Australia in Family and Relationship Counselling, with the Edith Cowan University in Lifespan Development, and in Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Group Leadership with community welfare training programs. I am committed to ongoing training and professional development.
